About these terms

These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of www.ignitefp.com (the “Website”). By using the Website, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Website.

Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we use personal data, and our Cookie Policy, which explains how we use cookies. Both form part of these Terms.

Who we are

The Website is operated by Ignite Funding Partners Limited (“Ignite”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17244100, with its registered office at 16 Beaufort Court, Admirals Way, Docklands, London, England, E14 9XL.

You can contact us at hello@ignitefp.com.

Who the Website is For

The Website is intended for UK businesses and their professional advisers and brokers. Our finance is available only to businesses for business purposes. It is not available to consumers, and the Website is not intended for anyone using it in a personal capacity.

Information Only – No Offer or Advice

  • The Website provides general information about Ignite and the finance we offer. It is not an offer of finance, and nothing on it creates a contract between us.
  • All finance is subject to status, our credit assessment, satisfactory due diligence and signed loan documentation. We may decline any application without giving a reason.
  • Any rates, fees, loan sizes, terms, examples or case studies shown are for illustration only and may not be available to you.
  • Nothing on the Website is financial, legal, tax or investment advice. You should take independent professional advice before entering into any finance agreement.
  • Nothing on the Website is an invitation or inducement to invest in Ignite or in any loan or fund.

Our Lending is Not Regulated

Our lending to businesses is not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. This means you will not have the protections that apply to regulated credit agreements, and you will not usually be able to refer a complaint about our lending to the Financial Ombudsman Service. Please contact us if you have a complaint and we will deal with it promptly and fairly.

Brokers and Introducers

Many of our customers are introduced to us by brokers, corporate finance advisers and other introducers. Introducers are independent of Ignite. They are not our agents and cannot make any commitment or representation on our behalf.

Enquiries and Applications

If you make an enquiry or application through the Website:

  • you confirm that you are authorised to act on behalf of the business concerned;
  • you must make sure that all information you provide is true, complete and not misleading, and tell us promptly if it changes;
  • we will carry out identity, credit, fraud prevention and anti-money laundering checks on the business and on its directors, owners and guarantors, as explained in our Privacy Policy; and
  • providing false or misleading information may be a criminal offence, and we may share it with fraud prevention agencies and law enforcement.

Protecting Yourself from Fraud

  • we will never ask you to pay an upfront fee to secure a loan before you have received and signed our loan documentation;
  • we will never contact you to ask you to change the bank account details for a loan payment or repayment without verifying the request through a contact you already know;
  • only trust communications from @ignitefp.com email addresses, and be cautious of similar-looking domains; and
  • if you are unsure whether a communication is genuinely from us, contact us using the details in section 2.

If you think you have been targeted by a scam using our name, please tell us immediately and report it to Report Fraud, the national fraud and cyber crime reporting service.

Using the Website

You may view, download and print content from the Website for your own business use. You must not:

  • use the Website for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose, or in breach of these Terms;
  • copy, reproduce or republish any part of the Website for commercial purposes without our written permission;
  • use automated tools to scrape, harvest or extract data from the Website;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, its server or any connected system;
  • introduce viruses, malware or other harmful material, or carry out a denial-of-service attack; or
  • use the Website to impersonate Ignite or any of our staff.

We may suspend or withdraw your access to the Website if you breach these Terms.

Intellectual Property

We own, or are licensed to use, all intellectual property rights in the Website and its content, including text, graphics, logos and the Ignite name. These are protected by copyright, trade mark and other laws. Nothing in these Terms gives you any right to use them other than as allowed in section 10.

Accuracy and Availability

We take reasonable care to keep the Website accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee that its content is complete, accurate or current, and we may change it at any time without notice.

We do not guarantee that the Website will always be available or uninterrupted. We may suspend, withdraw or restrict all or part of it for business or operational reasons. We do not guarantee that the Website is free from viruses, and you are responsible for using your own virus protection.

The Website may contain links to websites operated by others, including credit reference agencies and public bodies. These links are provided for information only. We have no control over those websites and accept no responsibility for their content or for any loss arising from your use of them.

You may link to the Website’s home page, provided you do so fairly and lawfully and do not suggest any association with, or endorsement by, Ignite where none exists. We may withdraw this permission at any time.

Our Liability

Because the Website is provided for business users and free of charge:

  • to the extent permitted by law, we exclude all conditions, warranties and representations, express or implied, that may apply to the Website or its content;
  • we will not be liable to you for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Website or your reliance on its content; and
  • in particular, we will not be liable for any loss of profits, revenue, business, contracts, opportunity or goodwill, or for any indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

Your relationship with us as a borrower is governed by your loan documentation, not by these Terms.

Privacy and Cookies

We process personal data collected through the Website in line with our Privacy Policy. We use cookies as explained in our Cookie Policy. Where consent is required, we will ask for it before placing non-essential cookies on your device.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on the Website when you use it applies, so please check this page regularly.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Website (including non-contractual disputes or claims), are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
